Got really tired of my HTC U11 not having a 3.5mm jack. I have a few different earbuds that I like to switch between depending on what I’m doing or where I’m going, so I found that most of the time I would either accidentally leave the adapter at home so I had no way to use my earbuds while I was out, or I would leave the adapter in my work bag and then have to dig it out when I wanted to use my other earbuds that I would use at home.
I thought I’d get used to not having it, but that stupid adapter has cost me hours of lost media consumption. I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s no excuse not to have a 3.5mm jack. Samsung has one in all their phones and they still manage to make it resistant enough to fully submerge without damaging it. Seems like just another trend that Apple started in order to cut costs and now other companies are following it.
I was going to go for the LG V30, but my friend showed me his Note 8 and I just had to get one. It just felt so good in my hands, and I couldn’t wait to get one in my pants. I always used to think the pen was kind of a silly gimmick, and there is a tiny bit of latency that would deter me from using it for anything that needs to be really precise, but I really enjoy having it for notes and annotating pictures and screenshots. When I wake up and brilliant ideas start popping into my head, I can just pull the pen out and start writing without having to even unlock the phone.
Girlfriend went to the UK recently and got me some souvenirs.
The best translations ever.
The whiskey supposedly is made specially for each clan. No clue whether that’s actually true, or they just slap a different label on the bottle. Still neat though.
