I do Synology products.
We used to deploy them for clients, as they had all the features to replace a typical domain.
I have used them for iSCSI storage for a couple of DR Virtual hosts, they weren’t very fast. but this was also about 4 years ago. and there were work arounds to get more performance
But haven the Ability to do quick connect and and have SFTP, FTP, HTTP and other file sharing protocols out of the box was good from the system administrator point of view. this was a good Backup NAS device.
I would used them at home but they are a bit expensive here in NZ
But I do use rockstor wich i find does alot what i want.
